Mobile Mate
is a hand-held wireless POS terminal, which allows merchants to accept credit
or debit cards as a payment form in a location that does not have easy access
power and telephone line connections. It is a fully intergrated unit witht
the wireless modem, card reader, and a printer, packaged in a form that
can be easily held in one hand. Also the freedom obtained by the wireless mode of communications allows it to be used in a market segment that either could not previously accept credit cards, or had to pay higher processing charge associated with not having the card physically present during the transaction.
